AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Appreciate the uniqueness or scale of a property, it just has to be viewed from above. Luckily, our photographers aren’t afraid of heights.

Whether we’re photographing from a plane, a helicopter, a cherry-picker or a mini-drone, your property can be captured in high-definition video, razor-sharp stills photography and even 360º panoramic imagery.

Naturally, we coordinate the whole process – from booking pilots to completing paperwork and ensuring the final visual product is out of this world.

HOW AERIAL REAL ESTATE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKS

ABOUT AERIAL REAL ESTATE PHOTOGRAPHY

Real estate aerial photography is the use of aircraft or drones to take low-altitude photographs of land and residential and commercial buildings for marketing purposes. Typically, a remote-controlled helicopter carries a professional-grade camera stabilized with a gyroscope.

Most reliable professional aerial real estate photography drones are also equipped with first-person view technology so the aircraft can stream live video to the pilot’s ground station. This enables the pilot or real estate aerial photographer to control the aircraft and camera effectively while ensuring the footage provides the best views of the property.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY FOR REAL ESTATE LISTINGS?

  • View Proximity to Amenities: Aerial photographs can provide a complete view of the entire perimeter of a property and its closeness to amenities in the neighborhood.
  • Attract More Sellers: Homes and properties listed with aerial videos tend to attract faster sales and help brokers sell more homes.
  • Capture More Leads: An aerial video has the potential to increase property views.

HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR AN AERIAL REAL ESTATE PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION?

  • Before an aerial photography session, here are some vital things to consider:
    • Clean Up: Ensure the landscaping and the entire yard are clean with trimmed bushes and freshly mowed grass. Clean up all porches, hide waste bins, remove all cars and garden equipment and shut all external doors.
    • Safety: Make sure there are no people within or around the property. For twilight or sunset sessions, make sure all external lighting is switched on.
    • License: Ask the photographer for their current FAA license required to take aerial photographs with a drone. They should also have insurance to cover any damage that may occur during the photography session.
    • Photo Specifications: Look at samples of aerial videos and photos. Specify the angles and orientation you prefer to highlight the most important features of the property.

Aerial photography is now a necessity and not a luxury when you need to sell homes that are valued above the average price of $350,000. The rapid increase in the rate at which homes listed with aerial photos are sold and the higher returns far outweigh the cost of a typical aerial photography session.
